About Us

Who Do We Help?

The Mental Health Support Project (MHSP) is a peer support network and a resource and activity centre (The Link) that provides a safe and welcoming environment for people with mental health challenges.

There is no requirement for a referral to access the supports offered at MHSP — The Link. Just call us.

Our Goal

The goal of MHSP — The Link is to inspire, to support and to provide a wide variety of opportunities to member participants so that they come together to improve their mental well being and their quality of life. Strong and positive engagements in community life and having a variety of options for managing illness builds resillience, coping skills and increases the possibilities for healing.

Our Staff

The Mental Health Support Project (MHSP) is staffed by people who have had personal experience with mental health challenges. We offer hope, encouragement and the shared experience that people in recovery can and will improve their quality of life. We are recovery focuesed, person centered and believe in the principles of self determination and empowerment.

What Do We Do?

Recovery is identified as a process of developing a positive and meaningful sense of identity apart from one's condition and then brebuilding one's life despite, or within, the limitations imposed by that condition.

Activities, groups and workshops are arranged in response to input from the Link Membership. Members meet monthly to plan, problem solve and to determine future goals.

We co-ordinate and facilitate recovery and healing in various ways, including:
